Location of Torronsuo National Park in Finland
Southern Finland, Kanta-Häme Region
Municipality of Tammela (www.tammela.fi, in Finnish)
Area: 30 sq.km. Established in 1990.
The area is managed by Metsähallitus.

On Torronsuo Mire, you will experience the Finnish landscape at its most original; the large open mire landscape has looked the same for thousands of years. You can visit Torronsuo on a half-day hiking trip around Kiljamo, or on a day trip to the southern parts of the park and outside the National Park in the traditional agricultural landscape of the village of Torro. Especially in the spring and the autumn, Torronsuo is a good place to observe the migrating birds, many of which stop to rest on the mire, for example cranes and geese.

Torronsuo Mire is one of the largest and most impressive mires in the southern Finland. Especially the wilderness-like scanery of the eastern part of the park is great. Despite its location surrounded by old agricultural areas and big towns, the mire is still almost in its natural state.

Torronsuo National Park is Located in the Häme Lake Uplands
