Meals, where to buy and prepare
The coordinates mentioned on this page are given using the WGS-84 Coordinate System. Blue nautical charts are always drawn using the WGS-84 Coordinate System, while green nautical charts are still drawn using the Finnish national KKJ Coordinate System. Shops and Restaurants
- On the mainland, on the edge of the National Park in Kasnäs Village, there are a shop and a restaurant (www.kasnas.com, in Finnish).

Drinking Water
- Drinking water is available in the National Park cooperation area on the inhabited islands´ guest harbours. Information on guest harbours can be found in the book Käyntisatamat - Besökshamnar (www.finnlake.fi), which is published annually.
Waste management
- There are no waste-bins in the area. Measures should be taken in advance to avoid taking unnecessary waste into the area. However, it can be possible to compost biodegradable waste and use campfire sites to burn those articles which can safely be burnt. Take all other waste out of the area. - Keep the Archipelago Tidy Association (www.pidasaaristosiistina.fi) takes care of the waste management in the archipelago. Find out about the locations of recycling points and septitanks.
Toilets
There are dry toilets at all of the campfire sites except in Jurmo.

On Boat
You can beach your boat on the islands of the National Park. Avoid landing on birds’ nesting islets during spring and summer.
Open Wilderness Hut
There are three open wilderness huts in the National Park.
- Konungsskär Open Wilderness Hut in Konungsskär Island, with room for 4 people
- In Oxharun Island (Notvarpharun) with room for 2 people
- In Gärskär with room for 2 people

- You can rent holiday cottages through Suomen saaristovaraus (www.suomensaaristovaraus.fi).
- There are several guest harbours in the archipelago. Details on locations and services can be found in the book Käyntisatamat - Besökshamnar (www.finnlake.fi). The book is sold by well-stocked bookstores, fuel stations and kiosks, and is published every year.
