Seitseminen National Park is situated at the Suomenselkä, a rugged watershed region. Forests, mires and eskers alternate in the landscape. In the set of living organisms in the park, many of the northern species are represented. The National Park was established to conserve the intricate mosaic of forest and mire ecosystems.
